SOMETHING IS UNEARTHING ABOUT ON THE EDGE YOGA - NEXT TO A WILD LAKE AND FIELDS OF ANIMALS. I WOULDN'T SAY IT WAS DANGEROUS, BUT IT WAS CLOSE. IT'S HARD TO FEEL 'CLOSE' - CLOSE TO OURSELVES AND OUR SURROUNDINGS, AND MARISSA'S WELLNESS RETREAT MADE ME FEEL THIS AGAIN.
We shot this film at Lake Manyara. The first night, lions were feeding under our elevated tent, and a leopard was hiding in the car park. I wasn't too surprised, as I could hear wildebeest rushing around, but the thrill and closeness to the safari action was nerve-racking. I checked all sides of my tent at sunrise and thought it was worth it for a fresh cup of coffee. We caught a few scenic shots as Marrissa went through a vinyasa flow in front of a herd of wildebeest. We woke the others up for a sunrise session - it turned out to be a misty morning, and the rainbow across the lake was magic.
Something is unearthing about on the edge Yoga - next to a wild lake and fields of animals. I wouldn't say it was dangerous, but it was close. It's hard to feel 'close' - close to ourselves and our surroundings, and Marissa's retreat made me feel this again.
