“Working with children one must remember what it is to be one. Josh brought his curiosity and caring camera into a group of children to document their journey into the Forest of Imagination, becoming one of them. He has a generous spirit evident in his camera work and the films he makes.”

-Andrew Amondson

Forest of Imagination

The best memories are when you're 'lost' in the moment - what a joy. There once was a time I was completely enthralled by a riverside golly, collecting newts beneath my muddy childhood knees. It was such a joy watching these children fully enter into the Forest of Imagination. Their contagious curiosity was enlightening and has already influenced the way I want to parent. Wonder and awe is worth every effort to pursue, and an adventurous curiosity seems to be some sort of gateway to entering into these life-high moments.

Living Tree Mirror Maze at the egg theatre Bath was designed by artist and filmmaker Andrew Amondson, designer Matthew Leece, maths educator Professor Alf Coles and architect Marcus Rothnie, Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, with music from Cosmo Sheldrake.

Co-founded by Dr Penny Hay and Andrew Grant, Forest of Imagination is a partnership between House of Imagination, Grant Associates, Bath Spa University and Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios.
